Last year, a new survey commissioned by Perkbox found that a whopping 79% of employees experienced workplace-related stress.

Wow! That’s a lot of sad people we’re relying on to run our businesses.  As a leader, it is down to you to drive actions, conversations, initiatives and behaviours that will really start to make a difference. But what can you do?

Last year, a whopping 79% of employees experienced workplace-related stress. This is really bad for your employees. But it’s also really bad for your business. Stress can cause lots of other problems, like additional absence, conflict and a big drop in productivity.

Here are three ways you can help to manage and reduce stress in your business this year.

One: Promote balance.

Do whatever you can to help your employees enjoy a better work / life balance.

Two: Encourage your team to take more holidays.

Since the start of the pandemic, people haven’t used much of their holiday entitlement. Encourage proper time away from work and keep an eye on when holiday entitlement isn’t used.

Three: Show them you care.

Make it a habit to praise your team and consider what perks or benefits you can provide, too.
